Stress-Free Guide to Finding Your Holiday Style

BeautyDeanne CapotostoComment

The key to pulling off a fabulous outfit for the holidays? Keep it simple and be you!

Whether you dress up for the holidays or wear an adult onesie, your style reflects your personality.

Why is it that we always say, “ I have nothing to wear"?  This is probably because you haven’t really discovered your own personal style yet.  Remember that great style is all about finding what works for you and what makes you feel happy!

This holiday season is a good time to think about what clothes make you feel good and flatter you.  Start to fill your closet with these items and you will never be wondering, "What should I wear?"

If you like to follow the current trends, that's great.  It is also fine to ignore the trends and wear what makes you look and feel good.

My cousin, Piera, is a co-founder of Refinery29.  I highly recommend her book: Style Stalking.  It will inspire you to have fun with your style and just be you!

Here are some holiday outfit ideas:

Casual:  Jeans, ankle boots, a sweater and a sparkly pair of earrings. This is a simple look that you can really customize!

Fun:  A pretty dress, or skirt & blouse, with a fabulous pair of shoes! Don't be shy...  a nice pair of shoes in an unexpected color can really make a statement.

Dressy:  A solid-colored dress and a statement necklace. This is always an elegant look. Black is chic, but choose any color that suits your skin-tone. A deep red is also beautiful for the holidays.

All of these outfits can be purchased at Nordstrom. It's one of my favorite places to shop. They are known for their personal attention, simple displays, and outfits in every price range and style.

Did you know that you can work with a Personal Stylist at Nordstrom for no charge?  Go online and book an appointment.  They are happy to help you choose that one special outfit or even put a whole wardrobe together for you.  Nordstrom really knows how to to take the stress out of shopping!

Remember: Keep it simple.  Love what you wear.  Feel good and be you!
